UPDATED 9/23/14: Our Condolences to the Family & Friends of Orlando Warren

We are saddened by the news that our dear friend and colleague Orlando Warren passed away on July 17. An alumnus of the Department's graduate program in creative writing (MA, 1997), Orlando taught writing and literature courses in English for many years. He also taught in the Philosophy Department and in the Gender Studies Program. A dedicated teacher, a fine writer, a loving father and husband, a kind friend, and a good man, Orlando will be missed by all who had the great fortune to know him.



Update (July 18)Services for Orlando Warren will be held on Wednesday, July 23, at the Lawrence H. Woodward Funeral Home at 1 Troy Avenue, Brooklyn NY (on the corner of Fulton St.)  The viewing starts at 9AM and the service begins at 10AM.

Update (September 23): There will be a memorial service on campus on Tuesday, September 30, at 11AM, in the Spike Lee Screening Room (first floor of the Library Learning Center). All are welcome. Refreshments will be served. Please join us to pay tribute to Professor Warren.
