Sealy Gilles to Speak at NYPL

Professor Sealy Gilles (English Department) is on sabbatical this year, but she has invited us to a talk she is giving as part of the New York Public Library's Writers-in-Residence series.

She writes, "The talk is scheduled for the inconvenient hour of 1:15 pm, but it is free and you would be most welcome. My topic is 'Plagues and Poxes: Epidemic Disease in Medieval and Early Modern London,' and the presentation (complete with pictures!) is geared towards a general audience."
