We are saddened by the news that Howard Silverstein, Professor of English at LIU Brooklyn for many years, died on June 28, 2017.The following is from Professor Silverstein's New York Times obituary.
"Born in Brooklyn on December 18, 1929 to Sigmund and Gussie Silverstein, Howard loved his family and friends, travel, and good books, music, food and wine. His 50+ years as a Professor of English at Long Island University brought him profound joy."
