Yani Perez: A Reading of Her Short Play Kane

We are pleased to announce a reading (at The Sloodge) of Yani Perez's one-act play Kane, based on the life and works of Sarah Kane.

Perez is an English Department alum (MFA, Creative Writing, 2011). She teaches in English and works full-time in HEOP.

Note: this is a true team effort by alumni of our Creative Writing MFA Program. As we mentioned, Yani is an alum. The Sloodge is a performance collective based in Park Slope, Brooklyn, in which Jon L. Peacock (another MFA alum, 2010) is involved. And the flyer for the event (see above) is designed by Tiani Kennedy, yet another program alum (2014).
