Aimee Herman, an alum (2012) of the English Department's Creative Writing MFA program, is the editor of a new anthology in the spirit of Walt Whitman’s “I Sing the Body Electric.” This new anthology, The Body Electric, celebrates the human body in all of its diversity and includes works by contemporary poets, writers, artists, and photographers, providing a fresh focus on our human flesh. Aimee writes that she is "proud to feature some immensely talented folks from all over the United States and beyond including Australia, Canada, Taiwan, and Ireland."
There will be a book launch and reading at The Poet's House later this autumn, and there will be a post here on The Longest Island when the time comes.
For now, you can purchase a copy of the book from the publisher, Ars Omnia Press.
Congratulations, Aimee!
