The English Department Colloquium Series (formerly the English Department Faculty Forum) is a program of talks by full-time members of the English-Department faculty. The series promotes scholarly activity among the full-time faculty of the Department by providing them with an opportunity to circulate their research among their colleagues. Professor Haynes's talk is called "Nollywood: Some History."

Here is his brief description: "In the last twenty years, Nigeria has created one of the world's largest film industries. This presentation will give an overview of the growth of this remarkable film culture, with special attention to the film that inaugurated Nollywood --
 Living in Bondage."
