Jonathan Haynes’ essay “Nnebue: The Anatomy of Power” is reprinted in the current issue of Critical Interventions. The festival of Nigerian films for which he went to Brazil in the Fall, “Bem-Vindo a Nollywood,” was well received and he is now consulting with the organizers about an expanded second edition of the festival in Sao Paulo next November. While he Rio, he launched a research project at the Academia da Cachaca in collaboration with Prof. Fernando Muniz of Fluminense Federal University. He is currently editing his Collected Memoranda Vol. 7: The ARPT Years.
